1. Roof surface must be prepared properly. The surface must be clean, sound and free from all dirt, dust, loose rust or other loose particles. Wire brush rusted areas.
Application should not be made on damaged metal where rusted-through areas are apparent and the metal is too thin for self-support. If these conditions exist, replace metal roof sections as necessary and proceed with application.
Make sure all screws and fasteners are in place and secure. Loose fasteners or screws must be retightened. Fasteners or screws that are damaged or missing must be replaced.
2. After the surface has been properly prepared, apply QUICK-DRY ANTI-OXIDENE to the entire foof surface. QUICK-DRY ANTI-OXIDENE is easily applied by roller, brush or spray. On flat surfacs, the coverage rate is 300 square feet per gallon. On corrugated metal, one gallon cover approximately 200 square feeet. Allow QUIC-DRY ANTI-OXIDENE to dry for approximately four hours under favorable drying conditions before proceeding with the next application procedure.
3. Next, apply 3-inch wide ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH to applicable seams and fastener heads where needed to seal leaking or potential leaking areas. Obviously, for best and most long-lasting results ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH should be applied to all vertical seams, horizontal seams and fastener heads.
When appplying ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH , start at the low point of the application, align roll, peel back 12 inches of release paper and press exposed portion into place directly over seam and/or fasteners. Carefully unroll the ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH, removing paper and pressing material into place as you go.
Alternately, when applying ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH over fastener heads, the ALUMINUM QUICK-PATCH can be cut into 3-inch x 3-inch squares. These squares should be cut with the release paper still attached. Then, after removing the release paper from each square, the 3" x 3" squares should be affixed directly over each fastener head.
4. Apply ALUMINUM COATING over entire roof surface by roller, brush or spray.
When Texas Refinery Corp. ALUMINUM ROOF COATING is applied, the rate of coverage is one gallon per 300 square feet on flat roofs. The rate of coverage is one gallon per 200 square feet on corrugated metal. When ALUMINUM ROOF COATING is applied, a five-year warranty applies.
When Texas Refinery Corp. TEXOTROPIC FIBERED ALUMINUM ROOF COATING is applied, the rate of coverage is one gallon to 100 square feet on flat roofs. The rate of coverage is one and one-half gallon per 100 square feet on corrugated metal. When TEXOTROPIC FIBERED ALUMINUM ROOF COATING is applied, a 6 year warranty applies.
